Best Buddies Arizona is pleased to announce the new Middle School chapter for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year! After a full year of recruitment the eight Middle School Chapter slots have been filled.

The 2010—2011 school year kick off inaugural year for the official Best Buddies Arizona Middle School Program. After years of community requests Best Buddies Arizona has recruited and opened eight Middle School chapters!

These schools will bring inclusion and acceptance to their respective campuses and will also allow students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity for leadership development. Each of the Middle School chapters will feed students directly into a currently established Best Buddies High School Chapter.

While many of the chapter’s have already formed friendships, hosted events and created change on their campuses the newest chapters are looking forward to making the same strides. Kyrene Akimel A-Al Middle School, Gilbert Junior High, Desert Harbor Elementary School, Desert Valley Elementary School and Madison Meadows Middle School are currently active chapters.

These chapters will be joined by Kyrene Middle School, Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School and Coronado Elementary School to fill the first official Best Buddies Arizona Middle School Program roster.
