Buddy Ambassador, Whitney Brodersen will be joining 13 Best Buddies Arizona Chapter Presidents on a cross country trip to Bloomington, Indiana for Leadership Conference 2010!
The Best Buddies Arizona Buddy Ambassador Board is comprised of 10 excellent individuals with intellectual disabilities who have graduated from their High School Best Buddies Chapter.
After attending an annual training the Buddy Ambassador becomes a representative in our community speaking about Best Buddies and generating support.
Whitney has been a Buddy Ambassador for two years now and continues to be an excellent member of the BBAZ Buddy Ambassador Board.
At Leadership Conference Whitney will attend BUILD (Buddies United in Leadership and Development) courses that will help prepare her for public speaking engagements, public appearances and other Buddy Ambassador duties.
“The trainings that take place for Buddies at Leadership Conference are incredibly special and crucial to the success of our programs. Not only is there a phenomenal agenda created by some of our most skilled staff members, but Buddies get the added bonus of learning in the positive and exciting atmosphere that can only be created when hundreds of students gather from around the world to celebrate friendships and leadership,” says Kali Wasenko, Best Buddies International, Deputy Director of Programs, BUILD. This is certainly an exciting time for Whitney to blossom and become an ever grater advocate!
