As summer progresses we would like to highlight each member for the Best Buddies Arizona program team. June is dedicated to Tim Lhotka.
Tim is a recent graduate from San Diego State University where he earned his master’s degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in exercise and sports psychology.
Tim is an avid athlete and plays in tennis tournaments around the valley. His wife, Emily, always cheers him on.
Tim is the Program Manager for the West Side of the Phoenix Valley, managing chapter from Phoenix all the way to Peoria. Tim loves his job because he works with motivated and amazing students that seek to make a difference in their school and their community.
Furthermore, Best Buddies changes lives and teaches people to see each other for their abilities and not for their disabilities.
Tim hopes to meet these goals in the upcoming school year: strengthen the quality of the one-to-one friendships at each of the chapters, improve the training of the student leaders, and to make each chapter more recognizable in their school and their community.
