Valley Celebrity Playlist - What they listen to...

What’s on your ipod? Would we be surprised? Got any Snoop Dogg on there you listen to when no one else is around? One’s music collection is pretty dang important, and it can be downright personal these days. This feature finds those valley celebs without qualms about sharing their playlists with tens of thousands of readers. We’re almost always amazed at what we find!
Kathleen Rubi’s taste in music is much like her taste in men—diverse. "My musical taste is just like the kinds of men I have dated—all very different, no specific type," says Rubi, executive director of Best Buddies Arizona. "Each type has something interesting about it."
Best Buddies Arizona is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to establishing one-on-one friendships and job opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
As the organization’s executive director for the past decade, Rubi has transformed Best Buddies Arizona from a start-up organization into a dynamic program that impacts the lives of thousands in Arizona. She has over 20 years of experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, event production and non- profit management.
When she’s not doing charitable work, Rubi enjoys listening to music in her car, when working out and while cleaning the house. Her playlist is certainly varied. From Eminem to Madonna, and Jay-Z to Hootie and the Blowfish, she likes it all.
"My musical taste has stayed the same over the years—I always listened to all kinds of music as a kid from, Rush to Doctor Hook," she says. "I still do." |
