e-Buddies is an e-mail pen pal program that pairs people with intellectual disabilities in a one-to-one friendship with a peer volunteer. It is fun and safe and a great way to make a new friend!
You are matched in an one-to-one friendship and exchange email message with your Buddy one time a week for at least a year, however, most friendships are lifelong!
A whopping 74 percent of e-Buddies participants consider their e-Buddy a close friend and an incredible 98 percent of e-Buddies want to continue with the program.
e-Buddies is a totally safe and all you need to sign up is an email address. There is no cost for those with an intellectual disability and for other volunteers the cost is low.
